It all started back in '68 when Sir Richard produced his first student magazine - "Student".
The Virgin brand started shortly after in 1971, when he set up Virgin Mail Order, a mail-order business selling records. From there the Virgin brand has grown into more than 200 branded companies, with a Global Revenue in 2008 of approx. US$17 billion.
